The Walls Came a Tumbling Down

Cute Evan story time. After supper, we usually do our daily picture Bible stories with him. Last night it was the (true) story of Joshua and how, when they walked around the city of Jericho, the walls "came a tumbling down". The pictures in the book showed the walls in ruin. Evan then says, "Uh-oh walls! Daddy baby fix it later!"

He may not be accused of being smart (yet), but he is cute. = )


We got our Peter Fishes on Sunday and Evan loves to play with his. We asked him what it's name was, and he said "Tuna." I asked him how old it is, and he said "Thirty minutes." Interesting!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Auntie Jenn came for a visit...do you think they're related?

We had a great but busy weekend. On Saturday, Uncle Gerald and Aunt Leida came to visit and to meet Darren. Evan had a great time, and still talks about Uncle Gerald's beard!

On Sunday, Oma and Opa came to visit. We had a nice time with them, and Evan and Oma went on TWO walks!!

On Monday, Auntie Jenn, Uncle Brian, Grandma, and theWii came for a visit. Grandma is playing tennis...and has the Wii fitness level of an 80 year old...she just needs more practice, although she seemed to do well with bowling! She and Evan went for THREE walks!

Auntie Jenn, on the other hand, is an old pro! Here she is bowling. Evan picked up a TV remote and started swinging it around like we were doing with the Wii remotes (or Wii-motes??).

Go for a walk?

One of Evan's many obsessions is to go out for a walk (as Oma and Grandma both found out this weekend). All day long we hear "Go for a walk?" So we often go out after supper. Eric and Evan often play hockey or soccer along the way.

Compliments

Evan has been into compliments lately. I was holding Darren while giving Evan his snack. Evan looked over, and said, "Nice shirt, Mommy. Nice pants, mommy. Nice feet, mommy. Nice ears, Mommy." And then, my favourite, "Nice Darren, Mommy!" Very cute.
