Tante Brenda & Uncle Michael

Congratulations Brenda & Michael!

Some Dukus

Evan was watching Eric do a Sudoku puzzle. He picked up a scrap piece of paper and a pen, and said, "I'm doing some Dukus just like Daddy!"

Evan's Flippers

We were reading a story about animals, and we read about a seal. The story talked about how the seal has flippers. Evan looked at me and said "Just like Evan's." I was a little confused, so I asked him what he meant. "Evan's football slippers."

Made me smile.

The Garbageman

Another fun Evan story. When he would hurt himself, he wanted mommy or daddy to kiss it better. We would tell him it was okay, but he still wanted someone to kiss it better. Since he knew that the Doctor helped people, he would say, "That's okay. Doctor kiss it better."

That worked for him for a few weeks, up until yesterday. We watched the Garbage men take the old couch away. Now when he gets hurt, he says "That's okay. Garbageman kiss it better." I'm not so sure I want the garbage man to kiss my child!!!

Oma's Trucks

Oma took us on a little visit to see the trucks from her work. Evan enjoyed seeing the big trucks, but he liked the quiet ones in the parking lot the best.

Evan actually got a chance to drive one of the bulldozers. He wasn't too sure what to think of it, and wanted to get down shortly.

Halloween

On October 31st (oddly enough), Evan and Darren went on their first treat-or-treat trip into our neighbourhood. As you can tell, Evan was a fireman and Darren was a baseball player.

Evan enjoyed "visiting neighbour house" and saying "trick-or-treat" more than what was going into the bag. That being said, he did receive a lot goodies because ... well ... he's just so cute

After they returned home, Evan received a well deserved treat .... a homemade biscuit. He is too small for what was in the bag, so his parents made the sacrifice of eating his goodies.

Misc. Pictures

We went to Applefest and Evan loved the big John Deere display. We had a great day, although it was pretty cold. When I went to Alpha later that week, Evan thought we said Applefest. So when mommy goes out, she's going to Applefest.

Darren loves his new chair he's borrowing from his cousins.

Evan was making faces and Darren was loving it and giggling. When I got out the camera, Evan said "Cheese" to pose for the picture!
