Evan is 9!

Happy 9th birthday to our Evan! He is such a great big brother. He loves helping and being very responsible. He can do laundry and make supper (Kraft Dinner). He loves biking and playing soccer.

He had a campout-sleepover party with 7 kids sleeping in a tent with Daddy. Not sure how much sleep everyone got...

He plays soccer with a big grin on his face and waves at his friends while he plays. He just bought a digital watch with birthday money and loves being the one in charge of how long things take.

Happy Birthday, Evan- we love you!

Happy 4th Birthday, Isaac!

Happy birthday to our wonderful Isaac! You have become such a big boy this year!  You love to make people smile, and your laugh is great to listen too! We are so excited to watch you learn and grow!
  •  Isaac's favourite joke is still "What kind of paper doesn't mind getting sick? A TISSSUE paper!!!"
  • He loves spending the days with David & Thomas Koene
  • He will sing songs at the top of his lungs at random times ("Let it Go!!").
  • He still doesn't enjoy bedtime, but he said goodbye to his soother when he turned 4!!

He had a fun birthday with the Benkos and the Koenes over for a bonfire.

 Silly brother time!

Listening to stories before bed!

Happy birthday, Isaac!  We love you!

Happy 7th Birthday, Darren!

Happy 7th birthday to our awesome Darren! We love your wonderful sense of humour, your infectious laugh, and your concern for others!  We love how you take care of your brothers, and like to read to them! (reading at a Gr. 2 level already!).  It's fun to watch you grow and change, developing your friendships with the kids in your class.

Darren had a Lego party and invited a whole group of kids over. They had so much fun, and played
so nicely together!

Darren's been having a great year at school, enjoying swimming with his class, and being a part of the school musical.  He did awesome in Track and Field, showing that determination that he has!

Renkemas

We made it out to Clinton a week ago.  Had fun with Oma & Opa and Uncle Adam & Aunt Amy.

Lego time with Opa

Monopoly with Uncle Adam & Aunt Amy

Oma, Pippin, Isaac & Daddy, just hanging out!

Isaac didn't want to leave. He also really liked this chair!

Tante Brenda came by our house with Ayden & Owen. Lots of fun!

 And... more Lego...

February Fun

Liam loves making long chains with Rainbow Loom elastics!

Darren shared his true feelings about his brothers!

Darren & Isaac have been getting along really well lately.

Liam's chain is even longer!

Science time with Grandma!

Darren slipped on a pencil at school and knocked out 3 teeth!

He says it looks like we  fought a black bear!  We're "The Wounded!"

Always more Lego!

Happy 5th Birthday Liam!

Liam recently celebrated his 5th birthday. He was so excited to have his first real party, and invited 4 friends to a sledding party. It was a great time. He got only Lego gifts...
...which was perfect for him.  He spent 6 hours the next day at the kitchen table, building and re-building.  Such perseverance!
Our Liam is still so very focused on things like Lego, drawing, and colouring. He can work for hours at a time.  He's teaching himself how to read and write by sounding out words, and is doing great.  He also loves adding and subtracting numbers.  He is thoughtful and helpful, and is enjoying his new spot on the top bunkbed. He and Evan are becoming great friends. Happy Birthday, Liam! We love you!

Fun around the house!

January Fun

Uncle Dave came by from Korea for a visit.  Lots of fun times with him!

Liam and his Lego creations!

We woke up one morning, and the barn right across the road from us had collapsed!  We didn't hear a thing!

There was a great workshop at Home Depot, making "Despicable Me" tic tac toe.

Everyone worked hard.

Isaac had to rest a bit after all that hard work!

Evan lost his 6th tooth, giving him a "Jack o Lantern" smile!

Another Liam Lego creation - this one was a ship that could hold all  our Lego people!

Evan learned how to make rainbow loom bracelets on his hand.  He taught the rest of the kids, and now everyone loves doing it!  They use a fork instead of fingers.

Darren's reading is coming along so well.  His teacher said that his reading level is around middle of Grade 2 (he's only in Grade 1).  His brothers love having another person to ask to read stories!

Isaac finally got his haircut.  The curls had pretty much grown out and it was getting pretty shaggy.  He was so proud of his new haircut, but said that his hair was very cold now.
He looks very grown up.  We can't decide who he looks more like.  Evan?  Darren?  Liam?

(just found this cute picture of Darren after I cut his curls off for the first time)
