Darren
Since Darren isn't talking, I don't have funny stories to tell about him. But that doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve his own post! He is now rolling from back to front and front to back. He's no longer a big fan of baby food. He thinks Evan is the most fascinating thing ever and giggles at him often! He is very handsome and is quite the charmer!!
By the way, I DO have pictures for November and December. I 'll just have to wait till we visit some family with Internet so I can post them...not that we're using them for their internet, or anything!!

More Evan...
We were looking through pictures, and saw one of me when I was pregnant with Darren. I asked him what was in mommy's tummy. He said, very matter-of-factly, "A ball."
Eric was heading out to work and asked me if I had any plans today. Evan wanted to be included, so Eric asked Evan if he had any plans today. "Nope. Just puppies."
Evan is learning about the use of the word everybody and actually. He's getting the hang of it, but it makes us smile sometimes...
- "Mommy, brush everybody's teeth?" to brush mine and his at the same time
- "Everybody's coming!" when people are coming to visit
- "Visit Erin and Elijah actually?"
- "It's snowing actually."
He likes Christmas because of the candles. He asks us to turn the candles on. After supper we "blow the candles off." It kind of makes sense...same with his coat: "Mommy, zip it down?" We zip it up, right?

In the Ho Ho
Evan has been learning "Ere zij God." After we sang it the first time, he walked around the house singing, "In the ho ho." Today after we sang it, he walked arouound singing, "In the mensen, in the mensen...."
We were setting up some Christmas decorations. Evan pointed to the snowman, and said something that I didn't understand. He said it again, and again. I finally realized he was calling the snowman "Parson Brown." As in Winter Wonderland, "In the meadow we can build a snowman, and pretend that he is Parson Brown."
I hung some white Christmas lights in the window. It was somewhat dark, so when I plugged them in, the looked pretty neat. Evan, in a very serious tone, started singing, "Happy Birthday to you..."

Evan
Evan came up to me and said, "I hear the furnace." So I asked him, "What's it doing?" He thought for a few minutes, and said, "It's furning."
Later he said, "I hear the fridge." I asked what it was doing, and he said, "It's freezing."
He has had a great time these last few days with all the snow. He spends the whole time with his snowshovel, shovelling the yard. Eric had the ladder up to the roof to put up the lights, and I caught Evan starting to climb up after him. I think he's going to be our daredevil!
