Thanks-mas? (Christ-giving?)

We've been celebrating an early Christmas in Londesborough this weekend since we won't be able to travel over Christmas. We exchanged names, had a big dinner and even had a tree up! Poor Evan is quite confused. He's been wishing people a Merry Christmas all weekend, and has no idea what Thanksgiving is.

The boys got a wonderfully noisy set of musical instruments from Uncle Michael, Tante Brenda & Jacob. It was enjoyed by everyone!
Just wait till next Christmas, Tante Brenda! I have a feeling we'll be getting you back! :)

The boys each got a big tractor from Oma & Opa and have been playing with them non-stop.

It was great to see everyone, and we had a great time!

Fall Activities

We stopped at the pumpkin patch a few days ago and the kids just loved it. They were both distracted by a nearby tractor plowing the fields.

This is Darren and his cousin Eli

We stopped by to see Sarah and her kids this afternoon. Evan said, as we were walking up to the front door, "I'm so excited to be here!!"
They had a little tea party.

First Steps!

Darren took his first independent steps yesterday! He pushes a little toy in front of him, and finally decided that it is time to push it and step toward it!! Still not that steady, and not doing it very often, but he's doing it! I think he is waiting till we get to Oma & Opa's house to practice some more!

More Pictures

A few more from our visit at Grandma's place!

The boys can spend hours driving around our van. Darren actually picks up quite a bit of speed on that little tricycle, and Evan can't keep up!

Ultrasound # 2

I had an ultrasound yesterday. The technician can't really give any results, but things seemed to look okay so far. This little one is a thumb-sucker (I'll describe it for those who don't see it: the round head is to the left, the arm is up top at the right, going into the mouth; the spine is the white line along the bottom right). We think it's a pretty cute picture!

Scrapblog...take a look

I tried posting this on the blog like before, but it didn't work, so I hope the link will work!

Birthdays!

We have been quite belated in wishing Happy Birthdays!! First of all, Happy Birthday to Eric a few days ago. We celebrated with some cake, and then by getting sick!! Fun!
We also need to wish belated Happy Birthdays to Aunt Colleen, Uncle Michael, Jacob, and Tante Brenda...all which happened in the last few weeks!! All the best!

We're back!

We've had a lot of blond 3-year old Evans running around the house. We've been babysitting an Evan from church for a few days, and they had great fun together. They came up with these "glasses" on their own. If I need anything done, I only have to say it once... "Evan, clean up the toys....come inside...!" If I see them from the back, I can't tell which is which!

One day Darren didn't nap very well, and he fussed for about a half an hour before I came to get him. When I walked in, he was very proud of himself. He had thrown his blankets on the floor, his bear on the floor, his pants on the floor, and his outer diaper cover on the floor.

Evan and Darren have been having fun at Grandma's house. Fortunately it didn't rain at all today because Evan spent the whole day taking Grandma out for walks (I'm not sure which one is more tired right now!!).
