Our Christmas

Got to start the post with a smile.
Darren spent one afternoon carefully taking his cars and trucks out, one at a time, lining them up on the couch for a parade....very focused!

We opened our gifts on Sunday evening. The boys had a hard time waiting all day.

I made little barns for the boys and their tractors - they turned out okay, but were more work than I thought!

VanBreda Christmas

We've had a nice time here this weekend - lots of playing, sledding, discovering "old" toys from years ago. This little series of pictures was during a quiet time watching Frosty the Snowman. As the time went on, more kids woke from their nap and joined the kids on the couch!

Darren

Darren says the funniest things sometimes. He always gets a sucker from the church secretary after Bible study (usually some fruit-flavoured). Then when he had fruit punch for the first time yesterday, he said, "Yummy! Sucker juice!!"

Renkema Christmas

It was a full house this weekend in Londesborough. On the couch are (l-r) Jacob, Ayden, Darren, Liam & Evan. Hard to get a picture of everyone happy! Jacob playing peek-a-book with Darren and Evan.

It was tricky to fit everyone around the table, but we did it!

Funny Kids...

Last week we read the Bible story about Peter being in jail, and an angel helped him get out. A few days later, he and Darren were playing in their room. Evan left, and closed the door, leaving Darren in the room. When Darren complained, Evan said, "Don't worry, Darren. An angel will come and help you out!"

Darren's new phrase: "I'm so exciting!" He'll say, "Yay! Go to Grandma's house. I'm so exciting!"

Liam is just pretty cute...learning how to play peek-a-boo, and trying it on his own, covering his face with a blanket or toy. He also got his first tooth today! Growing so quickly!

Lots of Animals!

Job, David, Darren, Liam and Evan all went Trick-Or-Treating together...we had a great time. Eric was dressed as a Dog Catcher!
