Chilly Christmas

During the power outage from the ice storm, we got to open our gifts in the cold - notice the layers that everyone is wearing.

Evan & Darren love their Perplexus mazes!

Liam & Isaac got a great Thomas set - he even goes ziplining!!

Isaac got a bit of a black eye from bumping into a table...

He looks like a tough guy...

...and it didn't slow him down a bit!

Liam followed the instructions in his brand new Chirp magazine on his own to create this bed for a toy!  He did a great job and is very proud of it!

More Lego!

 And more lego again!!

Some great gifts from Oma & Opa!

And Lego again!! Two giant Rubbermaid buckets FULL of Lego from some friends.  What a great surprise!!

Evan & Darren's school Christmas program. The pictures didn't turn out the greatest, but it was a nice evening.  Evan was the "star" of his class's play - Joshua from The Crippled Lamb.

Darren's class did a few songs and some readings.  He is on the bottom left corner for The Little Drummer Boy.

Renkema "Christmas" 2013

We had a really nice weekend with (almost) the whole Renkema family.  Lots of games, trains, and food!

Owen & Isaac were best buddies!

Of course, puzzles too!

We got a bit of snow to start with, and that turned into a pretty good snowstorm by the time we left!

November Activities!

Lots of sunglasses!!

Evan reading The Grinch to his brothers!

Raking and cleaning up walnuts.  Working to raise money for those affected by the typhoon in the Phillipines!

 Everyone working so hard!!

 Liam is just so cool!

Liam was a little sad that I didn't teach him piano lessons yet, so Darren took out his old book, sat with him for 15 minutes, and taught his so patiently!

A fun new toy we got to review!

Beautiful sunsets lately!

Lots of wind!  The lawn tractor had been parked in the far right corner of the screen for about 2 months.  Eric had just moved it that morning, and two hours later, this big branch fell right there!  (and also missed our sheds!)

More lego creations!!

Take a picture of me and my Bumblebee shirt!!

Crazy tie day at school!  Fortunately Daddy had a bit selection of Simpsons ties!

Darren had a career day on the day after Halloween. He was going to be either a dentist or a Pastor.  We decided that it was easier to dress up as a pastor...
