So our youngest has learned his first sign. Just this week, he started saying "please." He does it with his hand closed, like a fist, but it's very clear what he is doing!! What a smart kid! :)

Oma!! He's a little to young for coffee, no?? His 30 year old father doesn't even drink the stuff. That being said, it would be a neat sign to teach him and fool people with. I'll do it!!

Hmmm...he didn't have any incentive to learn that word, did he? Any reward that he really wanted? Food?
If he makes a closed fist and runs his other hand over it--he is asking for coffee. Just thought you would like to know

Ya, you are right, beside the coffee would just keep him awake at night. And you don;t want that to start again.
