Baby

So here are the first pictures of our newest little one. The head is on the right, then the big tummy and legs toward the left. The bright white part is are bones - you can see the spine along the back. The big tummy is NOT the head of a second child, and we are NOT announcing twins, as some have thought. I saw the little one flail arms and legs about - the technician said this baby is full of energy!!

I saw the specialist afterward, and he wants to see me every 4 weeks, as well as the midwife, and have ultrasounds every 4 weeks...so I'll be busy. He was somewhat encouraging, but mostly practical about the fact that it may come early again, so the most important thing is the shots at 24 weeks to speed the baby's lung development. Basically all I can do is take it easy and wait and see (and pray, which is what we're doing a lot of!!)

Congrats Renkema family! We hope all goes well, although Angela and I disagree about who he/she looks more like. I say Eric (on account of the big head) but she says the baby looks cute so it must take after Marya, I guess we'll have to wait and see :)

Cheers
